Micro-Tyco: ‘Inspiring the Leaders our World Deserves’

Micro-Tyco 2011 brought together 550 teams from schools, colleges, universities and businesses from across the country and challenged them each to grow £1 seed capital into as much money as possible in just four weeks. One month later this initial investment of £550 resulted in an astounding return of £106,882.

Micro-Tyco is designed to release entrepreneurial talent across all age groups. It's unique combination of inspiration, world class business mentorship, positive peer pressure and ethics produced incredible results once again in 2011 and has contributed to WildHearts being taught as a ‘Live Case Study’ at Babson College Massachusetts, the World’s top school for entrepreneurship. Micro-Tyco 2011 ‘s winning team was Deloitte, who turned their £1 seed capital into an incredible £19,008.72. Second was St Joseph's Primary School of Aberdeen, who's team of 10 year olds generated £9527.37 to beat every other school and take second place overall. Third place went to Mossneuk Primary of East Kilbride, who transformed their own £1 micro-loan into £3743.96. Fourth place was taken by the SCDI, who generated £3678.70.  Micro-Tyco received further endorsement when the winners were invited to a celebratory dinner at the home of Scotland’s first self-made billionaire, Sir Tom Hunter (pictured above).

All money generated through Micro-Tyco has been invested by WildHearts in Micro-Finance in 21 countries around the globe, taking Micro-Tyco participants on a journey from dynamic wealth creators to global ethical investors. WildHearts believe that by associating business success with helping others, Micro-Tyco will inspire the leaders our world deserves.
