Volunteering at the WolfTrek

Become part of the adventure and join the WolfTrek Events Team!

We are already recruiting volunteers for the 2012 WolfTrek and have a number of volunteer jobs available over the weekend. Volunteering at the WolfTrek is a fantastic way to experience the event, meet fun people from all over the world and have an adventure in the Highland wilderness! It's also a great way to support WildHearts and help make the event happen. We work with each individual volunteer to allocate them tasks and time slots to suit them, but as a guide the following jobs are available:
 
Registration Team, Forres, 1pm to 5pm Saturday August 4th
Volunteers will be helping to set up the registration area at Forres Academy,  welcoming participants, registering teams, organising event info packs etc. They'll then be able to take part in the 'toast to the wolf', watch the welcome speeches and the start of the event!
 
Route Marshals, various times & locations over weekend of 4th and 5th, from 4pm Saturday to 12pm Sunday
Volunteers will be based out on the route, helping to direct participants and keep them motivated!  A great way to discover the beautiful WolfTrek route without breaking a sweat!  A variety of time slots and locations are available.
 
Mobile marshals, various times & locations over weekend of 4th and 5th, from 4pm Saturday to 12pm Sunday
Volunteers will be on foot or on a mountain bike, walking or cycling the route to check the positions of signs and participants, feeding back info to Event HQ or the First Aid and Communications teams. Great fun and brilliant way to explore the WolfTrek route. A variety of time slots and locations are available.

Participants have 24 hours to complete the event, which starts at 4pm on Saturday, so some of the above tasks will take place through the night (all part of the adventure!)  However we can be flexible to suit you and to work around the hours you are available. If you are interested in joining the WolfTrek Events team please email info@wildheartsevents.com or call 01309 678115.
