Wolf down the full 45 mile challenge

Get together in teams of 3 or more and take on the full 45 mile WolfTrek, walking right through the night under a blanket of Highland stars. This is a BIG challenge, but the rewards will be breathtaking. You can find out about the spectacular WolfTrek route, created by the WildHearts team, here. The route is clearly sign-posted and WildHearts marshals will be in place to keep participants motivated and going in the right direction. There are three main Rest Stops along the route which feature toilets, a rest area and a food preparation area. The WildHearts team will provide water, isotonic drinks and energy snacks for participants at each Rest Stop too, but participants will need to carry food for their own meals. There will also be water and snack stations at least every six miles along the route where participants can quench their thirst and refuel. Some teams also bring a support team of two people to meet them at the designated rest-stops with food and changes of clothes etc. So, do YOU have what it takes to join the WolfPack?  Find out how to register below!

Tackle a bite-sized section in the WolfRelay

WildHearts have broken up the mighty WolfTrek route into 3 bite-sized chunks, perfect for tackling as a team relay effort. This is an exhilarating challenge and a great way to experience the WolfTrek, but isn’t as grueling as taking on the full 45 miles yourself. There are 3 sections to the WolfRelay route (find out more here).  Relay teams should aim to have 6 or more members, so that at least 2 can walk together on each section. At each WolfTrek Rest Stop relay team members will change over. Relay teams should study the route and discuss how long they think it will take to reach each change-over point so that the rest of their team can meet them. They should also plan how they are going to get their team members to each change over point. Some teams use one vehicle which changes hands as their team changes over. Others use a designated vehicle and driver. As relay team members finish their section, or are waiting to start, they can support their team mates or simply explore the fantastic area around the WolfTrek. Find out about registration below.

WT Event 3

Taste adventure in the Midnight March

Whet your appetite for the WolfTrek by tackling the Midnight March, the first 18 mile stage of the route from Forres to the eerie shores of Lochindorb. This is a great option for people who fancy a lighter challenge or who want to accompany friends participating in the 45 mile WolfTrek for part of the way. The Midnight March begins in Forres at the same time as the full 45 mile WolfTrek and WolfRelay, so you'll get to experience all the buzz of the event and meet the other teams. Participants follow the old Highland Railway route through the rolling Morayshire countryside and out into the epic expanse of the Dava Moor, with the aim of arriving at Lochindorb by midnight. Find out more about the spectacular route and the spooky history of Lochindorb here. There will be 2 water stations along the route for participants to refill water bottles and grab energy snacks. Upon reaching Lochindorb participants will be able to relax at the WolfTrek Rest Stop on the shores of the pristine loch before jumping on the WolfTrek bus back to the start area.
